MatchReel

Child Safety Standards

MatchReel exists to record children playing football. That places child safety at the centre of the product, not at its edges. Last updated 19 July 2026.

Report a child-safety concern

Email childsafety@nasugn.com. This mailbox is monitored and reports are prioritised above all other support.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first — in Australia, dial 000.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAE) is absolutely prohibited on MatchReel. So is any attempt to use the platform to identify, contact, groom, or build a profile of a child. We will remove such content, terminate the accounts involved without warning, preserve the evidence, and report to the relevant authorities — including the Australian Federal Police and the eSafety Commissioner.

How the product is built to protect children

Reporting and removal

Any user can report a video from within the app, and any user can be blocked. Anyone who appears in a video — or their guardian — can request its removal from the video page, and we act on it. Child-safety reports are handled ahead of everything else.

What we do when a report arrives

  1. We restrict access to the reported content while we review it.
  2. We review the report and the surrounding account activity.
  3. Where CSAE or grooming is involved we preserve the evidence, terminate the accounts responsible, and report to law enforcement and the eSafety Commissioner.
  4. We tell the person who reported it what we did, unless doing so would compromise an investigation.
  5. We keep a written record of the report and our response for up to 7 years so we can cooperate with police, a club, or a regulator. These are written records, not video.

What we ask of coaches and clubs

Obtain guardian consent before filming or sharing footage of children, mark youth teams as youth, keep your roster accurate, and only invite people who genuinely need access. A club deploying MatchReel remains responsible for its own child-safe policies and member-protection obligations.
